The great thing about solar powered lighting like the Luci Color is that no additional batteries are required! The Luci Color like all of our products have a lithium battery already inside the units. The battery captures the UV rays from the sun and powers the light. All you have to do is expose the light, solar panel side up to the sun for a few hours and press the power button. That's it!
