I have solar panels with 9.7A and 37V. 4 panels in one series will be 150V, but two series in parallel will be 20A. Would either scenario work with the SMA SB3.0-1 SP-US-41 Sunny Boy Solar Inverter?

1 string in series at 150V would work, but it may be late in the morning before it starts up since the minimum startup voltages are 100V / 125V on a 208V / 240V system respectively. 2 strings of 2 panels in parallel would not work since at 74V, it would not meet the minimum start voltage. You would either need to consider more solar panels, or a smaller inverter.
