The Growatt SPE 12000 US is a 12kW split-phase off-grid inverter built for North American homes and light commercial sites that run on their own power. It delivers 120/240Vac at 60Hz straight from a 48V battery bank, so 240V loads like well pumps, dryers, mini-splits and workshop tools run natively — no step-up transformer, no compromises on which circuits make the cut.
A 1.5 DC/AC ratio means you can put 18,000W of solar on a 12kW inverter. That oversizing is what carries a system through short winter days and overcast weeks, and two independent MPPT trackers let you split the array across roof orientations without losing production to the weaker string.
When the sun doesn't cooperate, the generator does. Two AC input terminals with an integrated transfer switch accept up to 70A of grid or generator power, and the unit handles diesel generator charging without external hardware. Start with one, and scale to 108kW across nine units in parallel — or configure them into a 220V or 208V three-phase system.
