FAQs

  • Can I stack Cotek SD Series inverters to create a split-phase system?
    Yes, Cotek SD Series inverters can be stacked to double your wattage in a 120/240 split phase output. See image below taken from the User Manual.

  • The datasheet shows output wattage, but what is continuous wattage?
    The output power listed on the spec sheet is the continuous power output under perfect conditions (Power factor = 1). However, this will be affected by the power factor of your load. For example, LED lighting can have a power factor of around 0.9 so you take 1500VA x .9PF = 1350 watts. For this reason, you may want to consider sizing your inverter 15-20% higher than your peak load. This compensates for the variance in PF across various loads.
