S-5! S-5-N Mini Standing Seam Metal Roof Clamp
S-5!® clamps attach to the panel seam by the tightening of two "bullet-nosed" stainless steel setscrews against the seam material. (This is usually done with an industrial grade screwgun.) The setscrews compress the seam material against the opposite wall of the clamp. They will "dimple" the seam material, but will not penetrate it. Threaded holes in the clamp (and stainless hardware provided) enable the easy attachment of various ancillary items to the clamps.
The NEW S-5-N MINI seam clamp is a the latest design from S-5! and features significant improvement over the original S-5-N mini seam clamp. (The original S-5-N mini clamp is no longer available) The new design features an innovative insert that ensures a superior fit for new and wider nail strip profiles, as well as older ones. The NEW S-5-N mini clamp is designed for use on the most popular 1″ nail strip metal roofs, including: Taylor Metal’s Easy Lock™. ASC Building Products Skyline Roofing®, McElroy Metals Meridian, New Tech Machinery FF100, Schlebach 1″ Nail Strip, and roofing profiles with similar profiles. The NEW S-5-N Mini clamps are not compatible and should never be used with S-5! Snorail/SnoFence or ColorGard snow retention systems. If you are installing ColorGard, make sure to use the regular New S-5-N seam clamp. The Hex bolt is no longer standard with S-5! mini clamps.
The N Mini clamp is a more economical solution for lighter-duty attachments where Herculean holding strength is not required.
All standard and Mini clamps undergo rigorous load testing. Negative load normal-to-seam testing (pull-up) is performed on all Mini clamps, and parallel-to-seam testing (drag load) is performed on all standard clamps.
*S-5!® Mini clamps are not compatible and should not be used with S-5! SnoRail /SnoFence or ColorGard® snow retention systems.
