The Tigo EI Inverter is the centerpiece of the Tigo Energy Intelligence (EI) solution. It orchestrates energy production and consumption (when coupled with the Tigo EI Battery). In addition, it enables module-level monitoring, optimization, and rapid shutdown when paired with Tigo TS4 MLPE (Module Level Power Electronics) through the EI platform.

  Yes, the Tigo EI Inverter is compatible with Net Metering. Net Metering is really something tallied by the utility, not the inverter. It involves keeping track of how much power is imported vs. exported with the utility. Those figures are also monitored on the Tigo portal, but the "official" figures are tallied by the utility.
• Does the Tigo Hybrid EI Inverter have an Anti-Islanding feature?
  Yes, the Tigo Hybrid EI Inverter will never attempt to export power to the grid when the grid is down.
• Are the Tigo Hybrid EI Inverters string inverters?
  Yes, the new Tigo Hybrid EI Inverters are string inverters.
• How many Tigo Hybrid EI Inverters can you run in parallel?
  There is no limit to how many Tigo Hybrid EI Inverters you can run in parallel, however, if you add a Tigo TSB Battery, you can only have one Tigo Hybrid EI Inverter per Tigo TSB battery bank.
• How many Tigo TSB batteries can I use with a Tigo Hybrid EI Inverter?
  You can have 1, 2, or 4 Tigo TSB batteries per Tigo Hybrid EI Inverter, but not 3.
• Can I use another brand battery with the Tigo Hybrid EI Inverter?
  No, only Tigo TSB batteries are compatible with the Tigo Hybrid EI Inverter.
• Can the Tigo Hybrid EI Inverters be used without optimizers or batteries?
  Yes, the Tigo Hybrid EI Inverters can be used without optimizers or batteries.
• If I use the Tigo EI Inverter without optimizers, do I need to use the TAP or CCA?
  No, you do not need to use the TAP or CCA if you are not using any of Tigo's MLPEs.
• Can the Tigo Hybrid EI Inverters be used in an off-grid only application?
  Yes, however, in order for the Tigo Limited Warranty to apply during the full Warranty Period, Tigo requires all system components to be connected to the Internet and to maintain such connection throughout the Warranty Period, otherwise the Limited Warranty will only apply for 5 years.
• Can the Tigo Hybrid EI Inverters work with positive grounded solar panels?
  Yes, the Tigo Hybrid EI Inverters will work with positive grounded solar panels.
• Is the Tigo EI Inverter UL 1741 certified?

• Will the Tigo app still tell me my overall production if I do not use the Tigo optimizers?
  Yes, the Tigo app will still provide overall production data on the overview page. Instead of solar panel level monitoring, it will provide string level monitoring.
• If I am not using the Tigo lithium battery with my Tigo EI Inverter, do I still need to use the e-stop button?
  No, in this scenario there is no need to install the e-stop button.
• Can the Tigo EI Inverters work in a power outage?
  Yes. In order for the Tigo EI Inverters to supply power to the home during a power outage, you would need the Tigo ATS and the Tigo Lithium Battery.
